The Westport Heights PTA realizes how important children are and that everyone wants the best for them.  We also know children learn more and have better lives when parents, school staff, students and the community work together to help them succeed.  All individuals in the school community are part of the PTA team.  By working together, we help ensure successful school experiences for the students of Westport Heights.

The Westport Heights PTA strives to bring these groups together to share thoughts and ideas about programs and activities that benefit children.  Our PTA provides information, programming, resources and events that help to bring together students, parents and school staff.

Here is a sample of some of the programs the Westport Heights PTA sponsors:

  »Volunteer Opportunities  
 
There are many opportunities to volunteer at Westport Heights.  You can donate time as a Room Parent, Safety Valet in the morning, assisting classes in the Flexercise program, or helping office staff.  You can also volunteer for specific school events like the Scholastic Book Fairs, fundraisers and as a Reading Partner or assisting the librarian in our Wonder of Reading library. 

Opportunities also exist to assist teachers and the PTA or Booster Club that does not require time spent at the school during school hours.  You can volunteer time in the evenings to assist in areas such as calling volunteers to work or donate food at school events, or take home materials to assemble for teachers.

If you are interested in volunteering time at the school during the day or in the evenings, please print out the PDF file of the volunteer sign-up sheet (also available in Spanish)and return it to school.  PTA will be in contact with you in accordance with the areas you have marked to volunteer to assist.
